What is the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme? (CDS Vic)  

Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) promotes a sustainable solution to manage and transform waste and recycling system in Victoria. For every eligible can, carton, or bottle returned, you will receive a 10-cent refund. You can choose whether to get the refund in cash or donate it to charity, local organisation or sports group.

We even accept some crushed cans.

3 Easy Steps to Earn Cash for Cans with Recycle4Change 

With our accessible locations in Geelong and Point Cook, you’re just a short trip away from earning money for your recycling efforts. To start, simply follow these 3 simple steps. 

1. Gather your containers – Collect empty cans, milk cartons and drinking bottle containers then check if they are eligible for refund money. You can check the full list of eligible containers at the Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme program page. 

2. Visit a R4C depot – Stop by our recycling depots in Geelong and Melbourne western suburbs where our friendly team will assist you to unload your containers. Alternatively, contact us regarding our commercial collection service. 

3. Take home cash – After the containers are sorted by our super-fast machines, you will get a receipt to receive cash or payment via the CDS App.
