What is R4C?
Recycle4Change (R4C) is a multifaceted certified Social Enterprise and registered Charity.
R4C operate the Victorian State Governments, Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) for the region covering Geelong to Laverton North in Melbourne’s west.
Recycle4Change believes all people are inherently fallible but strong and resilient and able to thrive as part of Australia’s future. Recycle4Change creates chances for people impacted by the justice system by providing a holistic employment and training program to enhance self-worth, reconnect with family, and enable reintegration into society.

Making an impact
Environmental impact
By 2028, we anticipate that we will have collected and sorted close to 200 million drinking containers for recycling. These containers will reduce local pollution by half and divert 10,000 tonnes from landfill. Recycling these containers will save water, energy and significantly reduce carbon emissions.
HELPING THE community
Community benefit
R4C will facilitate payments to the local community of $20m over the next 5 years. Included in this will be payments to the disadvantaged and low socioeconomic of ~$7m. R4C will also enable local schools and community groups, such as sporting clubs to open a new revenue stream through fundraising activities.
Making an impact
Social Purpose
The main purpose of R4C is to provide an employment opportunity and pathway to those that society consider unemployable; people with lived experience of the justice system. By providing this employment opportunity and supporting these people as they exit the justice with skills assist their transition back in the community, we not only significantly reduce the chance of reoffending, but we also create a safer society.
R4C is a new subsidiary of the Chance Creators Group, a registered charity and certified social enterprise.
